Dance Marathons Raise Over $1.69 Million Feb. 14-16
After a record-breaking fundraising year for the Miracle Network Dance Marathon movement in 2019, with over 400 colleges, universities, and K-12 schools raising over $44 million for their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, the 2020 year is already off to a great start!
Over the weekend of February 14-16, 10 campuses collectively fundraised over $1.69 million for their local hospitals!

American University:
American University’s EagleTHON hosted their Dance Marathon event on February 15, breaking records with it being the largest event in their organization’s history. The students fundraised over $44,000, a 35% increase over their 2019 total, benefitting Children’s National Health System in Washington, D.C.
Auburn University:
Auburn University Dance Marathon hosted their Dance Marathon event on February 15. With over 1,000 registered participants, students fundraised over $354,000, benefitting Piedmont Columbus Regional in Columbus, Ga.
Ball State University:
Ball State University Dance Marathon hosted their Dance Marathon event on February 15-16, resulting in over $566,000 fundraised for Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, Ind.
Case Western Reserve University:
SpartanTHON at Case Western Reserve University fundraised $57,965, benefitting University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio at their Dance Marathon event on February 15-16.
Collin College:
CougarThon at Collin College hosted their Dance Marathon event on February 15. The students fundraised over $5,000, benefitting Children’s Health in Dallas, Texas.
El Paso Community College:
El Paso Community College hosted their inaugural Dance Marathon event on February 15, raising over $8,700 benefitting El Paso Children’s Hospital Foundation in El Paso, Texas.

Seattle University:
Seattle University Dance Marathon hosted their Dance Marathon event on February 15-16. With nearly 300 registered participants, the students fundraised over $35,000 benefitting Seattle Children’s Hospital in Seattle, Wa.
University of Alabama:
University of Alabama Dance Marathon hosted their 13.1 hour-long Dance Marathon event on February 15. With over 1,500 registered participants, the students fundraised over $307,800, a 24% increase over their 2019 fundraising total, benefitting Children’s of Alabama in Birmingham, Ala.
University of Dayton:
UD Miracle hosted their Dance Marathon event, called FlyerThon, on February 15, with the students fundraising over $62,000 throughout the year benefitting Dayton Children’s Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.
University of Mississippi:
RebelTHON at the University of Mississippi hosted their Dance Marathon event on February 15. With over 1,110 registered participants, the students fundraised over $252,000, benefitting Batson Children’s Hospital at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Miss.
