IHOP’s National Pancake Day Supports Dayton Children’s

On February 25, IHOP locations in Dayton, OH and Richmond, IN celebrated IHOP’s National Pancake Day to help kids treated at Dayton Children’s Hospital.  In exchange for a donation, guest received a free short stack of pancakes.

You might think it’s just a day to get a free short stack of delicious IHOP buttermilk pancakes, but it actually is a day that makes a BIG difference for kids treated at our hospital. Kids like Antonio Jr. and Sydnei.

Antonio Jr. and his sister Sydnei were born with a blood disorder called sickle cell disease. Sickle cell has hospitalized them numerous times throughout their lives. Last year, Antonio Jr. was inpatient six times. Prior Though both teens suffer from this painful life-long condition, most would never know based on their positive attitude and active roles in the community including volunteering and sharing their story of hope!  You can read their full story here.

So why is this partnership important?

Every minute 62 kids enter a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. That’s more than 10 million kids every year. Donations raised at IHOP on National Pancake Day help fund life-saving and live changing equipment and technology to care for 384,000 infants, children and teens each year.
