Kids Can’t Wait – So College Students are Here to Help

This month, University of Dayton and Wright State University students will be showing off their best dance moves as they raise funds to support Dayton Children’s Hospital.

UD Miracle and WSU Miracle Makers are student-led dance marathon programs that engage their campuses in year-long fundraising for their local CMN hospital, Dayton Children’s. Each year, they host 13.1 hour and 12 hour dance marathon events to celebrate their efforts. Both programs had to adjust their 2021 events in light of the pandemic, but students are excited to move forward with in-person events this April!

UD will be hosting Flyerthon on April 2nd from 11 am to 12 am. Over the past year, they have held many fundraising pushes to engage students and community members. Their Valentine’s Candy Gram fundraiser raised $1,700 and allowed students, parents, and friends to send a piece of candy to their favorite students.

Wright State Raiderthon will be held on April 9th from noon to midnight. On March 14th, also known as Pi Day, WSU faculty and staff volunteered to participate in a Pi-in-the-Face event on behalf of Miracle Makers. Click here to see more of the action.

Together, these Dance Marathon’s have raised over $1,000,000 for Dayton Children’s. Thank you to the students, faculty, staff, and the community for your dedication to supporting Dayton Children’s patients. DANCE ON!
