How Our Local Partners Are Aiding the Lives of Children

One Hour Heating and Air and Benjamin Franklin Plumbing warmed the hearts of local kids at Dayton Children’s Hospital in February. Their most recent in-kind donation of activity bags is one that kids will be able to enjoy during their time at Dayton Children’s, and is one way they are creating better lives for local kids. One Hour Heating and Air and Benjamin Franklin Plumbing have been Children’s Miracle Network partners for Dayton Children’s Hospital since 2014!

Direct Energy has raised $1.7 million for Children’s Miracle Network nationally, and CMN’s “helping local kids” motto has touched Direct Energy Home Services franchisee Mark Geschke (pictured in middle) personally. In 1997, Geschke’s daughter was born prematurely. Her birth was followed by a five-month stay in the NICU at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland. She was cared for around the clock by nurses and at the time, state- of-the-art medical technology. The excellent care his daughter received catapulted Geschke’s involvement in Direct Energy programs to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network hospitals- his locations have raised $7,000 alone since the partnership began!
